Rainbows in Bloom: Discovering Colours with Flowers
A groundbreaking, gorgeous board book that uses photographs of flowers to introduce children to the rich variety of colour
This unique book is the first to fully explore the enormous variety of shades colours have, going far beyond the basic colours that are usually introduced to children in early concept books. Showcasing seven stunning floral arrangements, with a flower key at the back of the book, and clever gatefolds as well as search-and-find prompts for interactivity, fold-out pages open to reveal beautiful arrangements of flowers, in a variety of hues, organised in gradation, showing the extraordinary of rich variety of colour in the natural world. The book features seven colour pairs to illustrate the full spectrum, revealing the astonishing range of shades found between familiar colours – and showing how colours connect to one another.
This, the debut children’s book by New York’s go-to florists Putnam & Putnam, the acclaimed floral design studio who are also the bestselling authors of the ground-breaking Flower Colour Guide and Flower Colour Theory, features their own acclaimed photography, taken specially for this book.
